A blog detailing the ongoing slobberpalooza that is the life of those with both a baby and a boxer.

Everything is going swimmingly

William can crawl! Only one small problem though, he can only go backwards. He gets up onto his hands and knees, but then his legs slip out from under him, and he goes backwards a little. So he gets up and tries again, and goes back a bit further.

The parenting books say that you should put a toy in front of your child to encourage them to crawl towards it. William gets quite frustrated as he finds himself getting further and further from the toy he's trying to reach. Poor little bugger, I feel like that at work sometimes.

As well as crawling, Wil is now learning to swim. He had his first swimming lesson last week, which he absolutely loved. This week he was loving it as well, at least until I completely submerged him under water. It turns out he wasn't a real fan of this, but then I hear no baby is the first time. Its a bit like beer I guess, more of an aquired taste.

Feeding time at the Zoo

I am sure all parents say this, but William seems to be growing up before our eyes. He now has two teeth, and is getting well established in the solid food routine.

One of the fun things about this is that you can have fun watching his expressions as he either approves or dissaproves of new foods that he tries. Tonight I had the camera on standby as William had his first taste of avocado.

Try and guess what the verdict was...

We are coming to the end of our little Tasmanian junket, that is being officially blogged by our travelling partner Steve. As with the last entry, I have some tidbits to add.

William has turned 6 months old whilst we have been away, and has sprouted his first tooth, which can be seen in this extrodinarily cute photo.

One of the Tasmanian attractions we have particularly enjoyed is Kate's Berry Farm, purveyors of berries and deeeeelicious icecream. William had his first lick of an icecream cone here, as documented by this photo...
